Comments: Nice long length, has very solid appearance of early Italian Genoese, but more geometrical. Might be possible to trace this design to one of the early pattern books. Early 18th c is as good a date as any, without further evidence.

Comments: Interesting piece, wide, long, and impressive. Appears to be bobbin motifs with needlelace fillings and a point d’gaz ground, which would put it in the late 19th-20thc Point d’Angleterre category. Some of the raised cordonets recall Rosaline, others are similar to some very fine Brussels needlelace transitioning from 18th century flat points. Hexagonal meshes appear bobbin made, but hard to tell.
