Comments: A Duchesse de Bruges fan with mother-of-pearl sticks. One stick next to the back guard is missing the tip for 1.5″. The lace design is a rather thrown together assembly of flowers and leaves within a top and bottom border. A few very small needlelace rings for accent. Lace condition appears good.

Comments: An interesting linen.  I think that what looks like reticella is actually plaited bobbinlace everywhere.  There’s also some filet panels and a little embroidered cutwork.  It feels 20th century, and imitation of early Genoese.  Italian, probably. Seller cites a few minor openings and some small repairs to the linen.  Ebay #160645331748 is another piece along this line.

Comments: I’d love to get opinions on this, but I think it might be Pag, mainly from the little ribbed center spider. But it lacks the typical looped picots. So it’s probably an Italian piece maybe from Aemilia Ars? The design is very traditional using a linen base. Quite a fine and impressive piece. Some openings in the linen, but since the linen is part of the base for the reticella, you have to live with it.
