Comments: There does seem to be a lot of good Maltese on the market recently. Here is a large square cloth. Some nice guipure, interesting fillings and well done leaves. A few holes, and note that the seller has extensively laundered the piece.  Unsure of the long term results of that process.

Comments: Interesting piece with a definite Art Nouveau feel. It has a lot of Bruges bloemwerk characteristics, like the little spiders at the joining of 6 brides.  But the volutes are basically long tape lace pieces, unusual. Some kind of marketing tags attached at both ends, and a label stating Made in Belgium. Condition appears very good.
