Comments: I’m almost thinking this is in original  form – it’s a Brussels bobbinlace with vrai droschel ground.  But there are large areas of bobbin fillings, maybe a Devon piece? Aside for a tear along the neckline and a few small holes in the ground, it looks in very good condition.  Quite an unusual piece, maybe early 19th c.
