Comments: A Point de Gaze collar, flat work, and the condition is not good. Stains and numerous holes. But what attracted me to it was the picot treatment of the outer edge – the single long picots widely spaced. I’ve seen this before, sign of a better manufacturer. It has an overall good design and some interesting mode fillings along the outer edge.

Comments: One of those indeterminate guipures, could have been made in many places. Miracourt? Perhaps Spain?  Some motifs have gimps, some do not. It is a nice, bold design, well done technically. It does seem to be silk, and seems in very good condition from the photos.
