Notes: Thanks to an astute LaceNews reader for pointing this out well before I got the announcement from Drouet. This is a large auction with some very good pieces. Note particularly, 18th c lappets in lots 2 and 48, a large Brabant flounce, lot 90, a big rectangular Point de Gaze shawl, lot 102.  Many crinoline flounces of application, including a wedding ensemble, lot 70. Chantilly shawls, lots 19 and 20 and a large Chantilly collar with lappet ends, lot 18. There’s also a lot of high quality embroidered net.

Drouot is an organization of auction houses throughout France, including their main facility, the Hôtel Drouot in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.
