Comments: A Point de Gaze handkerchief with central Appenzel whitework embroidery. This is a bit unusual since normally the embroidery is predominate and the lace just an accent. I’m wondering if this was perhaps a later modification. The attachment of the center piece seems just a bit clumsy for lace of this quality. Anyway, it’s quite impressive. The lace is flat Point de Gaze with a lot of detail and some very good decorative fillings. Very good condition, I don’t see any problems from the given photos.
