The registration period runs from February 16 to May 6, 2016.

This is the Catalonian Lace Association annual lace day, no doubt the largest lacemaking event in the world. About 1500 lacemakers are expected. It is held in a different city each year.  Bobbinlace only, and no non-laces allowed (cross stich, patchwork, crochet, etc.)  Lacemakers are requested to come with their best work in progress.

There will also be an exhibition, “Puntes d’ahir I d’avui – Lace from Yesterday and Today” running from May 31 to June 12, 2106 at la sala Abat Senjust (pl. Ajuntament, 3).

The competition this year is dedicated to works inspired by Salvador Dalí.

Next year’s event will be in Sant Cugat del Vallès.

The contest lasts one and a half hours, and involves work on a pattern with 16 pairs of bobbins, thread size 30.  100 EUR and 60 EUR 1st and second prizes for the best and second best finished works.
