   I would like to come along on Saturday morning to visit the lace day. I am a complete novice and I am looking for a group in Herts/Bucks, nr Hemel Hempstead.
   Would this be OK?

   I found this entry on the Internet but it is dated 2010 so I wondered if you are still going. I learnt to make lace at Ivinghoe right at the beginning of the group and have bobbins going back to our to our first Lace Day in1987 and including one for our Lace exhibition in August 1990. The first one mentioning Cheddington is in 1988. I use these bobbins all the time and they remind me of so many happy hours. We now live in Bath and my husband has Parkinsons which requires lots of patience on my part and I find Lace Making is a marvellously soothing calm occupation.
