All are welcome to come and join us in making lace (any kind!) whilst riding behind a narrow gauge steam locomotive. Jane hopes once again to have some patterns on sale in aid of one of our appeals. Photos from last year’s event can be seen at http://www.cig.canon-europe.com/p?p=CTjdZ5BusJu
Tickets: £6 adult, £5 senior, £3 child, £15 family (2+2) – free for under fives. Tickets are valid for as many rides as you like! Purchase tickets at the station on the day of the event.
There is a tea room serving hot and cold meals and snacks.
Contact: Jane Partridge. Please email Jane in advance so an estimate of the number of attendees can be obtained.
I am also arranging for some bobbins, featuring a painting of our steam loco, Russell, which is presently undergoing major overhaul, to be produced for the event by Chris Parsons. These will hopefully raise some money towards the restoration.
