My thanks to museum director Julia Evseeva for information about this important event.  The first Festival was held June 23-25, 2011, shortly after the opening of the museum in 2010.  This year’s event is closely tied to the theme of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Vologda lace was included in the famous Olympic patchwork quilt.
