More than 800 lacemakers from 17 provinces attended the 15th Encuentro in 2014.

There is an exhibition associated with the Encuentro, from May 15-30 in the Sala del Episcopio, called “De la Rueca a la Pluma”.  It celebrates the 500th birthday of Santa Teresa de Jesús, born in Ávila on March 28, 1515.
