May 1st is the Día del Trabajador, Labor Day, a national holiday in Spain. It is also part of the Festa Major de la Santa Creu in Cabrils which runs from May 1-8, 2016.
Attendance at this event is generally greater than 350.  In 2011 I found mention of an Escola Puntaires Cabrils, who, if they still exist, are probably organizing this event.
