The Thousand Islands Arts Center is the home of the Handweaving Museum, and has its own collection of lace. This exhibition coincides with their 22nd Annual Weaving History Conference, which runs from May 14-15, 2016 http://tinyurl.com/jqcuhnu. The exhibition demonstrations the history, fibers, and production techniques of both handmade and machine-made lace. It will include contemporary pieces by Radmila Zuman andlaces from the museum’s own collection by Dorrie burton, Berta Frey, Mary Snyder, and Ruth Holroyd.
