Competition – based on the 1001 Nights theme
– Each design and execution must be done by the entrant
– One work per entrant
– The finished work must be mounted for exhibition
– Packaging must be provided so works can be shipped back after the exhibition

– Entrance fee is 10.00 EUR
– No age limits
– Judging will be in four categories – appropriate topic, craftsmanship, layout, overall presentation
– Participants agree that works can be published
Winners and juried works will be exhibited from Sept 16-18, 2016.  The jury is composed of 5 women professionals in lacemaking, and lace research.
Deadline for entries is August 29, 2016.

It is estimated that there are 20,000 lacemakers in the Erzgebirg.
