Comments: A high-end market veil of Brussels bobbinlace applique on machine net.  This looks like there is the same design in all 4 corners. Wedding veils of this period often have a more oval shape with less decoration at one end for the headpiece. So I’m not entirely sure what the original purpose of this piece is, although one corner might be a little more rounded. Naturalistic pattern, and excellent esprits of two types in the main ground. The seller cites mild age discoloration, few loose threads and pinholes, and 2 well-done professional repairs on one side. Basically very good condition.
