Administrative: Away for awhile

Apologies for the few posts lately. I had to make a trip to Minneapolis to help out my mother who has recently been released from the hospital. I’ll be here for a few weeks, and will gradually get caught up.

Thanks to everyone for all the emails. My Mom turned 90 in January and has having trouble with her knees – a week in the hospital and 3 weeks in rehabilitation. At that age you have to be very careful. But she’s home and as feisty as ever! I think we will pull through it just fine.

Hi Laurie,
Trust your Mum will recover quickly. It was my privilege to do something similar for my Mum and she always said how very much it meant to her that I was ‘there’ when she needed me. Time with our Mums is precious so don’t rush back….will look forward to your missives as and when.

Hi Laurie Thank you for all you do. It is always interesting to see what is going on the rest of the world. You are right to put your Mom first. My mom is turning 90 soon and one never knows how much time you will have together . Bless you both !
